TOUR TO MARAS MORAY AND SALINERAS (SALT MINES) ½ DAY

Moray is located in the route to the Sacred Valley of the Incas, between Urubamba and Chincheros, it is a magical place in the city of Cusco. This circuit is visited in a group or private tours. Then, we visit the community of Maras and its picturesque streets, the energetic center of Moray and finally Salineras (salt mines) where now, the salt is processed in an artisan way.

Our itinerary:

In the morning between 8:30 and 8.45am, we pick up the passengers from their hotels or where it has been arranged with our tour bus, then, we start the circuit by Chincheros route in an approximate trip of 50 minutes until we arrive to the short cut of Maras and arrive to the district of Maras, in this place we will visit its main square and streets. We will have an opportunity to enjoy the Chicha, typical beverage of the zone. Right after, we will continue the trip and we will arrive to the archeological zone of Moray, important agricultural construction system, we will spend a long time here. We will finally go down to Salineras (salt mines) place where salt is removed in an artisanal way. The designated guide will make you enjoy this wonder, sharing with you the traditions and its constumes. We will finally return the same way to arrive to the city of Cusco, arriving at 14:00 hours to have lunch.
