NAZCA: CULTURAL TOURISM

The Peruvian province of Nazca (330m above sea level), is one of the 5 provinces that compound Ica (400m above sea level), to the North, it limits with Ica and Palpa, to the East with Ayacucho (2747m above sea level), to the South with Arequipa and to the west with the Pacific Ocean. The Distance to Lima is 418km to the South. It was created on January 23rd of 1941, according to law 9,300. It is the second province in geographical extension. In its territory, we find the touristic attractions of the famous hieroglyphics of Nazca lines, which can only be seen by air. It has an altitude of 330m above sea level, it has an annual average temperature of 28°C all year round. It has an important access; to the North with the Panamericana road, located 6 hours from the capital and to the South with Marcona (27m above sea level) and the White City of Arequipa (2335m above sea level). It is also a connection between Puquio (3224m above sea level), Abancay (2379m above sea level) and Cusco (3399m above sea level), its road is in very good conditions for private and interprovincial buses.
