INKA JUNGLE MULTI SPORT MACHU PICCHU - 4 DAYS

The Tour Inka Jungle Multi Sport Machu Picchu, is a combination of activities most done in an alternative route that allows us to know Machu Picchu. The combination of the different tours on bicycle, canoeing, zip line and trekking makes this route very entertained. This route can be done at all ages, but always under an experienced guide’s supervision. If you do not want to participate of one of these sport activities, it could be optional. Itinerary:

01st DAY:

Cusco – Alfamayo – Santa Maria (Bicycle / Canoeing): Around 7:30am we start to pick up all passengers from their hotels in our private transportation we will go to Ollantaytambo where we will make the first stop. And then, we will go across the Malaga Abra (highest point at 4350 above sea level) 150km away from Cusco city. This is a very good start day, we will go uphill enjoying of an ecologic surface (Puna) and we will start going downhill the high jungle, in other words, 4350 a 1430m above sea level where the weather is nice from start to end. From this sector known as Alfamayo, we will start going downhill on bicycle, most of the journey will go downhill until we arrive to Santa Maria; this trip lasts about 3 hours. Here we will spend the night in a local family’s house. Dinner and rest. We will also go canoeing here (optional).

02nd DAY:

Santa Maria – Santa Teresa (Trekking): After a good breakfast we will start our journey for about 6 hours between uphill and downhill, however, what’s most interesting in this journey, is that we will go across part of the perfectly designed Inka Trail. On the same time, we will as well have an adventure in the jungle surrounded with green nature, with a lot of fruit trees, deep rivers and exotic animals from the region that will make us feel a lot of satisfaction. In our way we will have a nice bath in Cocalmayo hot springs in Santa Teresa located at 1700m above sea level. Here we will have dinner and spend night.

03rd DAY:

Santa Teresa – Aguas calientes (zip line / trekking): After breakfast early in the morning we will start our adventure in zip line (optional), taking the passengers to our main base, previous safety instructions from the guide. We will start going uphill full of adrenaline. After some hours, we will take the transportation until we arrive to Hydroelectric to have lunch, rest and then continue our trekking at the shore of the Vilcanota River towards Aguas Calientes through the train rail. We will enjoy the weather that goes up to 25°, this will be a little different with a trekking of 3 hours. Finally, we arrive to Machu Picchu Pueblo also known as Aguas Calientes at 5:30pm (Accommodation and dinner).

04th DAY:

Aguas Calientes – Machu Picchu – Cusco (Trekking): We will have breakfast very early in the morning and start going uphill from Aguas Calientes to Machu Picchu for about 60 minutes. After this, we will go to Machu Picchu Park, we will practically have all day to visit the Archeological Center. After the guided visit we will have free time and finally return to Aguas Calientes in a bus. Here we will take the train back to Cusco via Ollantaytambo and bus to Cusco arriving at around 10pm.
