CANOEING CHUQUICAHUANA ROUTE IN THE VILCANOTA RIVER – II III IV – 01 DAY

Quiquijana – Chuquicahuana:

This canoeing excursion is one of the most practiced in the city of Cusco since the river level class is high; II III IV V, especially in rainy season, it takes 2 hours to practice it. This activity can be done all year round mostly on December to May for high level classes IV V and in other months the level is moderate; II III+.

Our itinerary compounds:

Early in the morning, passengers will be transferred from their hotels to the Vilcanota River in Chuquicahuana on the way to Puno. After 2 hours of journey in our private transportation, we will arrive to the start point. The guide will deliver equipment and will provide safety instructions necessary for the journey in the river. We start the tour that lasts 2 hours approximately, enjoying the rapids all along the way. Once we finish the excursion we will have lunch at the shore of the river which consists of a variety of food, as well as sodas, teas, etc. After lunch we will return to Cusco arriving at 4:30pm.

Important:

: In this part of the river, we can only practice this activity in the months of December to May (rainy season), it is not recommended in other months of the year since the water level is very low.
