COLCA CANYON EXCURSION

Itinerary:

Day 01: Colca Canyon - Chivay
Breakfast is at 7:30am. We travel for about four hours to arrive at the Colca Valley. In our tour bus, we see beautiful landscapes, including the volcanoes, Misti and Chachani. The area is largely inhabited by the local vicuñas, relatives of the llama and alpaca. From 4,600m above sea level, the road descends to Chivay. We lunch and enjoy our hostel accommodation with the rest of the afternoon free to explore. You can take the option to visit the hot springs of La Calera, located just 2 km away.

Day 02: Chivay Mirador del Condor-Arequipa
After breakfast, at 5:45am, we continue further into the Colca Valley. During the two hour journey, we’ll see beautiful landscapes and arrive to Cabanaconde and then head to the Mirador del Condor. The Mirador del Condor is the most breathtaking viewpoint of the canyon to see the spectacular flight of the condors. After enjoying this wonderful place we’ll return to Chivay. Along with way, we’ll stop to visit some interesting local areas. We’ll lunch and return to the city of Arequipa, arriving at approximately 5:30pm. We return to the hotel for the night.
