SALKANTAY AND INCA TRAIL MACHUPICCHU

Itinerary:
First Day: Cusco-Mollepata-Markokasa
At 6:00am we began our trip in our private vehicle through the high Andes region of Izcuchaca, Zurite and Ancahuasi to enter the Limatambo valley. Here is where you can see the ruins of Tarawasi and, in Mollepata, begin our trek up to Markokasa where we camp.
Second Day: Markokasa Choquekiclla Soraypampa
After breakfast, we start the hike from Choquekiclla. On the road you can see Salkantay and Humantay, two snowy mountains and camp in between them. These mountains are more than 4000m high.
Third Day: Soraypampa Pampa Japanese Inkachiaska
We start after breakfast for an uphill walk, enjoying beautiful landscapes and the lovely flora and fauna. We camp at Inkachiaska.
Fourth Day: Inkachiaska sisaypampa Inkaracay
This day starts heading toward Paucarcancha. We go down to Cusichaca Valley, Llulluchapampa, also known as Inkaracay, to where our campsite is located.
Fifth Day: Inkaracay Huayllabamba Pakaymayu
After an early visit to the ruins of Inkarakay, we start to climb Warmiwañuska (4200 meters). Then hiking more, we’ll reach Pakaymayu and in the evening we arrive at camp Sayacmarka.
Sixth Day: Pakaymayu Sayacmarca Phuyupatamarca
We start our way up to the high jungle seeing the diversity of flora and fauna along with some Incan archaeological sites. Finally we arrive in camp at Phuyupatamarca.
Seventh Day: Phuyupatamarca Wiñay Wayna Machupicchu
After an early breakfast, we hike to Machupicchu, one of the greatest archaeological treasures of the world. We visit the park for several hours and finally return to Cusco, arriving at 8:20pm.
