SHORT INCA TRAIL

Itinerary:

First Day: Cusco / Km 104
Between 5:30 and 5:40am, we pick you up from your hotel in our private vehicle and go to the train station. We have a chance to relax and enjoy the scenery on our three hour train ride. At km 104, we pass through a control point and begin our hike. We hike the three hours to the Wiñaywayna archeological zone and enjoy a guided visit. Here we have our boxed lunch and a brief break before continuing on the Inca Trail towards Aguas Calientes and Machupicchu. In Aguas Calientes we will have dinner and spend the night. You can also take advantage of an optional visit to the local hot springs.

Second Day: Aguas Calientes / Machupicchu / Cusco
Early in the morning, after a good breakfast in the hotel, we hike or take a bus up to the ruins of Machupicchu – Intipunku. With luck, we are able to enjoy the sunrise and the impressive view of Machupicchu. Following the roughly two-hour guided tour of the ruins, we have sufficient time to hike up Waynapicchu and appreciate an impressive view from the mountain top. When we’re ready, we go down in the bus to Aguas Calientes, have lunch (optional) and return on the train to Cusco. From the train station, you are taken back to your hotel.

* NOTE: To make your reservation for the Inka Trail, a non-refundable trek deposit of US$200 and an email notifying us of this deposit must be received by our office. The remainder of the tour price must be paid at our office a minimum of two (2) days before departure. Failure to pay in full before the deadline will result in trip cancellation.
