MOUNTAIN BIKING TO QUILLABAMBA’S JUNGLE 5 days
05 DAYSSeason: April to October

This is a great mountain biking trip for adventure fans and a circuit rated moderately difficult. It offers some downhill and single track. On the way, we’ll be able to enjoy nature’s beauty in the highlands and later on, in the jungle, with many wild animals and waterfalls.
1st Day: Cusco – Lares
Early in the morning, we’ll leave Cusco on a three hour drive to the top of the Lares Pass (13,986 ft). Here we’ll start the all-downhill bike ride on a single-track. We’ll have lunch on-route. Afterwards, we’ll have another two hour ride, to reach some relaxing hot springs, where we’ll camp for the night. The natural thermal waters are a perfect end to the day. (Lunch & Dinner)
2nd Day: Lares - Qolqa
Today, we’ll have a beautiful 68 km ride on dirt roads, mostly downhill, to the village of Qolqa, where we'll camp for the night. We've now left the Andes behind and are in the Upper Amazonian Basin. (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)
3rd Day: Qolqa - Quellouno
From here, it’s up and down hill, all the way to Quellouno. In some stretches, we’ll be able to take advantage of our transportation. We’ll have lunch on the way and will arrive at Quellouno, where we’ll have a rest and take a short bath in a river. (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)
4th Day: Quellouno - Quillabamba
Now, we’ll face 98 km of mostly downhill and with some flat parts on dirt roads, to get to the town of Quillabamba. If you leave right after breakfast and you are a strong rider, you can make it the whole way through, on this jungle track. Most people will prefer to bike half-way and take a van to the end. This night, we'll stay at the Hotel Quillabamba and relax around the pool. (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)
5th Day: Quillabamba – Ollantaytambo - Cusco
Today, our private transportation will take us 105 km over to a mountain pass at an altitude of more than 15,000 feet. From the top, we’ll ride our bikes 45 km down to the town of Ollantaytambo, in the Incan Sacred Valley before driving back to Cusco. (Breakfast & Lunch)
